USCGAUX Meeting Postponed Due to Typhoon Mangkhut

In view of Typhoon Mangkhut headed for Guam, Flotilla Commander Jodie Nelson has postponed the meeting scheduled for Tuesday, September 11, until further notice.  Prepare and be safe. 

75th Liberation Day - July 21, 2019

If you have any knowledge of Coast Guard liberation activity, please contact MT Sajnovsky, so that recognition can be given to those who served during that period.

Guam International Coastal Cleanup - Sept. 15

Volunteers are needed for our annual Coastal Cleanup at the Santos Memorial Park in Piti.  Start time is 7:00 a.m.  Additional information can be found at http://www.guamcoralreefs.com/guam-international-coastal-clean

Boat Patrols - Sept. 1 and 3

There will be patrols on September 1, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. and September 3, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. to patrol planned Navy Labor Day fireworks display in Apra Harbor.

Safety Day - August 31

The Navy will hold a "Safety Day" on Friday, August 31, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Navy Exchange. Volunteers are needed to man the Boating Safety display. Please be in Auxiliary uniform.

Mandated Training Marathon - Aug. 26

MT Sajnovsky will offer a session for those interested in completing the USCGAUX mandated training of 7 CG courses and 2 FEMA courses in a marathon on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at UOG, classroom TBA.

July 29 - Boat Crew Training

We will be getting underway on an on-water patrol next Sunday, July 29 at 0800 from Sumay Marina on Naval Station. Anyone interested in becoming boat crew qualified is welcome to join us but space is limited so first come, first served. Call MT Sajnovsky at 789-5438 or e-mail him at bcsaj@guam.net.  Uniform will be dark blue t—shirt with “USCG Auxiliary” in ½ inch white lettering on left breast, dark blue shorts with cargo pockets with black web belt with simple silver buckle, white crew length socks (not ankle socks) with dark colored boat shoes or sneakers (brown, black, blue) and an AUX Ball Cap.

Water Training Patrol Simulating Oil Spill Response - Jan. 6

On Saturday, January 6, 2018, there will be water training patrol simulating an oil spill response in Apra Harbor.  We will deploy an oil containment boom from the Riba vessel, across a couple of key locations as part of the exercise.  Anyone interested in participating is welcome, however, we are limited to 4 people.  The patrol will start at 0900 and finish by 1200.  If you are interested, contact Bob Sajnovsky, Coxswain/Owner of Riba at bcsaj@guam.net.
