April 7-9 2017 - District Training

Aloha, Hafa Adai, Talofa!

We are collaborating with Sector Honolulu instructors to offer two training topics at DTRAIN this year - AUX Port Assessment (local) and Uninspected Commercial Passenger Vessel (national) Qualifications. Sector Commanders have identified a need for Auxiliary assistance in these specific mission areas - if you are looking to assist the Coast Guard directly with Incident Management and Prevention missions, this is a great opportunity!

*** AUX Port Assessment Qualification can be pursued only by members that completed the AUX Assistant Pollution Responder training. The Sector is using that as the foundation for their local AUX Port Assessment qualification. Other members who are interested in the topic but did not attend last year's Pollution Responder training may attend if space is available with DIRAUX permission.

If you completed the training last year, and wish to pursue Port Assessment qualification, request you respond to d14aux@uscg.mil no later than March 12, 2017. DIRAUX will fund at a minimum one member from each flotilla in Division

3. If a flotilla does not have a representative then DIRAUX will randomly select from other candidates that are not selected during the first round.

*** AUX Uninspected Passenger Vessel Qualification training will be selected from members that complete the following pre-requisites and submit proof to d14aux@uscg.mil no later than March 12, 2017:

1. ICS 100 (online)
2. ICS 200 (online)
3. ICS 210 (online) or 300 (classroom)
4. ICS 700 (online)
5. ICS 800 (online)
ICS Training available at: https://training.fema.gov/is/

AND

6. Introduction to Marine Safety and Environmental Protection (IMSEP)

IMSEP available at:

*** You must have completed your Mandated Training in addition to the above pre-requisites otherwise you cannot receive travel orders to attend. Please see your flotilla commander or FSO-MT with any questions on how to obtain training.

Hope to see you there!

Respectfully,
