Active Shooter Security Exercise - Aug. 3

Auxiliarists will report on Thursday, August 3, at Sector Guam on Naval Station no later than 0700. Be prepared to spend most of the day participating in the exercise.

Active Shooter Training - July 26, 0900-1300, Naval Base Theatre

The Planning Department has scheduled a mandatory all hands Active Shooter

training that will include:

1. Guam Police Active Shooter for Victims conducted by Officer John Aguon.

2. FBI Active Shooter for Tactical Response conducted by Mr. Mark Garcia.

3. Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) conducted by LTJG Larla Brown.

The Pacific Ocean contains a wealth of unique heritage. Beneath the depths of these waters are traces of human existence that span thousands of years and testify to the special human interaction with the coast and sea. This heritage includes ancient sunken villages, fish traps, sacred cultural sites, historical shipwrecks and aircraft, and "intangible" heritage related to voyaging, navigation, and utilization of the marine environment.

World War underwater cultural heritage in Asia-Pacific includes 3,800+ shipwrecks and aircraft, many of which tourists dive. These sites can also be "sacred" given that they can include human remains. They can also contain oil and munitions that may cause concern, particularly if sites are deteriorating.

This seminar includes a panel and specialized talks about the wonderful world of diving World War shipwrecks in the Asia-Pacific region and issues related to research and management.

Pirates of the Caribbean Movie for $3

Fellow Auxiliarists,

All Coast Guard active duty, reserves, and C.G. Auxiliary members are invited to view the latest “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie for only $3.00 per person on Friday, June 23 (co-incidentally, Friday the 23^rd is also the 78^th anniversary of the founding of the C.G. Auxiliary). The movie is being shown at the Movie Theater on Naval Station and will begin at 1100; so, if you go, plan to arrive a little before that time.  You will need a valid AUX ID card or other military ID to be admitted to Naval Station, and any family member that wishes to accompany you will also need a valid ID.
