Calling All Coast Guard Active Duty, Reserve, and Auxiliary Guam Divers

As one of his last dives on Guam, CAPT. Pruett has chartered a MDA dive boat.  The dive will be on June 23rd, leaving the dock at 1330.  If weather permits, planning will entail doing Blue and White (just outside the mouth of Apra Harbor to the right) and the American Tanker Dive.

For those who are interested in joining CAPT. Pruett, and to help celebrate Coast Guard Guam, please advise.  We are limited to 25 divers, and a few extra observers who do not want to dive but want to go on the trip.  You will need to be advanced dive certified as the dives involve depth beyond 60 feet.  The cost per diver is $35.00 plus tanks.  Snacks/food and champaign will be provided.

RSVP Date:  9JUN17.  RSVP call Triciapruett@aol.com.  Spouses/significant others are invited.
Space is limited so please RSVP earlier then later.
This is not a required event and is meant to be an opportunity for fun and camaraderie.

May 20 through 26, 2017 is National Safe Boating Week. The public is invited to attend the celebration of Guam Safe Boating Week, part of the 2017 North American Safe Boating Campaign. Sponsored jointly by the U.S. Coast Guard, USCG Auxiliary, and the National Safe Boating Council, the safe boating activities are designed to increase the awareness of safety for boaters and water enthusiasts.  This campaign will kick-off with a Proclamation signing on May 19, 2017 issued by the Lt. Gov. Raymond Tenorio.

A legislative resolution introduced by Senator Telena Nelson will also be presented during the annual National Safe Boating Display at the Agana Shopping Center on Sunday, May 21, 2017.  The display will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and feature safety equipment and capabilities of each participating agency.
In an effort to promote safe recreational boating, the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will continue its volunteer service by providing safe boating information.  Those interested in a free vessel safety check may also contact the USCG Auxiliary.
